Emily Pearlman

Artistic Director

Emily Pearlman is a theatre creator and educator with 20 years experience developing new work as a writer/performer and director/dramaturg.

She has worked with playwrights, poets, DIY theatre collectives, dancers, film-makers and sound artists. She has produced art festivals, created radio documentaries for CBC, been an age and  weight guesser at an old time carnival, taken the Greyhound from Ottawa to Mexico City, and worked on an organic farm in Spain. She considers all these experiences equally useful when working with Mi Casa and teaching play creation to people of all ages.

Lindsey Lambden

Artistic Associate

Lindsey has been creating theatre ever since she was a young girl.  She headed the drama club in High School, and continued to pursue her passion at Concordia University, where she majored in Theatre.  Putting her dramatic skills to the test, she then embarked on travelling the globe after graduation and taught English as a Second Language to students from the age of 3 - 65. She also recently (2016) earned her Yoga Teaching Certification, and has been teaching various levels of Hatha yoga in Almonte for almost 3 years.  Combining her love of teaching and creating, Lindsey knows there is always something to create…a seed within us all that can be nurtured and grown! Whether it be in English camps in South Korea, Annual Christmas plays at her beloved Canadian Language Learning College in Ottawa, or Almonte Summer Theatre Camp .. she knows there is always theatre to be made!
